We aim to create smart tools for the construction industry through our expertise in researching artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. The company's initial product will be a construction documentation control tool that uses text detection and recognition to automatically organise and classify different types of construction plans as projects. This application enables construction professionals to view plans intuitively and use smart tools to compare changes between different revisions, overlay different types of plans, and perform standard commenting and document management and sharing.

The main objective of this tool is to simplify and streamline the process of studying plans using artificial intelligence for clients while collecting a range of data to train neural networks to identify different building classes and elements on the plans, beginning with structural plans. As the company scales, it plans to add new features, such as an automated estimation tool that will analyse structural components for high-rise buildings from PDF and Auto CAD plans. The ultimate goal is to create a tool that automates the estimation of all quantifiable trades involved in a construction project.

To achieve this goal, the company is focused on identifying all the components of a building with high accuracy and classifying them in the correct order of the construction process using artificial intelligence. The tool will make use of data collected from clients, construction consultants, completed projects, plans, schedules, timelines, budgets, and actual versus planned data. The overarching purpose of Sequus is to help shift construction from a highly skilled dependent economy to a low skill independent economy, freeing professionals' time from mundane tasks to focus on problem-solving on site or managing multiple projects efficiently.
